Every woman, Each and every man, Even a child knows the blues. Every hour, Of every day, Somebody, somewhere cries the blues. Deep down, deep down inside Beyond the edges of my mind. Come out, come out, lonely star and shine As you wish. As you are is fine. Roaring wind, And the pouring rain, Even the wolves howl the blues.

Daily Grind 05:42
Wake up for my 9 to 5. Gotta Make bread to stay alive. Take a Shot of coffee to hold my eyes Open again. It’s a Long road and a lonely ride. Gotta Pump gas to make it drive. Stuck in Day dreams of a freer life, But when? And I’m Caught up in the daily grind. Workin’ Dull jobs to turn a dime. I wanna Skip town but I ain’t got the time To spend. My friend, it’s all for you anyway In the end. The reason that I spend my days Workin’ - doesn’t matter what I’m paid - Is to find love in the life I’ve made. And my bed, the surest place that I can lay My head. No place that I would rather stay. Instead, when I feel my faith start to fray I rely on a longer thread. Not the daily grind. Not the daily grind. One day there might come a time when I make it to the finish line and That’ll be the day I finally find Heaven. Why I've always got these searchin’ eyes? Can’t Find passion without some surprise. Men Thrive on what they haven’t tried To invent. If I Had it my way I’d turn back the dial; travel Way back before we learned this style. Unravel The mystery of why we’re occupied with What’s not worthwhile. But my friend, it’s all for you anyway In the end.

If I Could 07:01
If I could take this chance, Then I would share this dance. If I could hold your hand, Maybe you would understand That I need you now. I’d show you somehow If I could use these words Of love you deserve Then I’d promise you, promise you the world. And if I should, then tell me If you want me to go And I’ll leave right now, put you down for good. Cuz I’d move on, right on, oh only if I could. If I could go back in time Then I would tell you how I feel inside. If I could girl no lie I would Really speak my mind. If I could, but as it stands It's out of my hands. It's not up to me What love commands. And if I were to tell you The sun don't rise alone Well would you come home, say you understood? Cuz I’d lay by your side forever if I could.

You want action? Here I’m standin’ with my heart stretched out. What happened Ever to make you doubt? You know I’m old fashioned. Hey I ain’t afraid to shout. But heat’s rationed, I know just when to bring it down. I follow my word Even if I never make a sound. Don’t follow the herd - Well I won’t get chased by that hound. And I don’t deserve To be told now to back down. I've got to preserve the sense of virtue that I’ve found. You want fire? Well my whole souls a burning pyre. Call me a liar, To know your strength is my one desire. And I will reach higher, Long as my spirit is an undenier. So leave your damnations off the wire. My state of mind is not so dire. I follow my word, Even if I never make a sound. Don’t follow the herd - You know I won’t get chased by that hound. And I don’t deserve, To be told now to turn around. I've got to preserve The sense of virtue That I’ve found. You want anger To try and make you lie down at my feet? Well I’m a stranger To taking joy in your defeat. Don’t you understand the danger Of giving up my one retreat? Somebody’d up and place a wager And they’d line up To battle me. But I follow my word Even if I never make a sound. You know it’s absurd To let yourself get chased by that hound. And I don’t deserve To be told now to run around. I gotta preserve The sense of virtue That I’ve found.
5.
Down a dusty road Buried in the leaves Carrying a heavy load You will find the blues king Crying to himself alone Strumming on a string. By the time you hear him moan You will know the blues king. Oh king, where is your queen? Oh king, where is she hiding? No place to call a home, Too run down to dream, Heart heavy as a stone - Now you know the blues king. (Solo) Oh king, where is your queen? Oh king, where is she hiding? Maybe once he's dead and gone You will come to see He was praying all along You could love the blues king. Sing, Sing, The song of the blues king.
6.
When you wake up Alone in your room And the morning Came too soon And your love is gone Far from you Gee baby, ain't that the blues? When you carry on Day after day And there's nothing You can do or say; Cuz your love is gone Far away, Gee baby, ain't that the blues? Ain't that the blues? Well some you win And some you lose, No matter how you try. And what you give Comes back to you By and by. When you lay down Late at night With a feeling That isn't right Cuz your love is Out of sight gee baby, ain't that the blues? Ain't that the blues?

No more cryin’, Crying the blues Talkin’ ‘bout old news Payin’ dues Lord Here's what I'm gonna do - Pack up my bags, Throw on my shoes. And I’m gonna move. Yea I’m gonna move. No more lyin’ Lyin’ awake Stayin’ up too late Cryin’. There’s too much at stake I’m not gonna waste my hours Waitin' on fate to Take me away. No I’m gonna move. Yea I’m gonna move. And I got nothing, Nothing to prove. And on top of it all, nothing to lose. Let it be, yea Dust in the wind May the journey begin. And I got nothing, Nothing to prove. And on top of it all, Nothing to lose. Let it be, yea Dust in the wind May the journey begin. No more losing, Losing my mind; With no reason or rhyme Now I’m Making up for lost time - Turnin’ around on a dime. Kissin’ bygones goodbye Lookin’ down the line I’m Gonna move. Yea I’m gonna move. Oh I'm Gonna Move

Let You Down 04:01
Last time I said goodbye wasn’t easy. But now I don’t know how I dared. Your lips and your eyes, How they linger in my mind. Too late now I learned how much I cared... But there’s no goin’ down that old road. I lost my way back long ago. Living with regret Or learning to forget, Either way I’m on my own... So tell me you don’t Want me anyway And I won’t have to Waste another day Sliding back On the decision that I made To let you down. Why’d I ever let you down? How’d I ever let you down? Never shoulda let you down.
9.
Well you don’t seem to understand I put my heart out on the line. No you don’t seem to understand I put my heart out on the the line. But the way you treat me woman Seem to think I ain’t even trying. Well I done everything I can To love and treat you right. Yea I done everything I can To love and treat you right. Oh but you walked out on me baby Said you can’t stand another night. I guess the blues ain’t enough, Ain’t good enough for you. I guess the blues ain’t enough, Ain’t good enough for you. Oh but you just can’t change a man - oo hoo - what am I gonna do? Go on and find somebody else To take you ‘round the town. Go on and find somebody else To take you ‘round the town. Oh but don’t come crawlin’ back When he goes and lets you down. Because the blues ain’t enough ain’t good enough for you. I guess the blues ain’t enough, Ain’t good enough for you. Oh but you just can’t change a man - oo hoo - what am I gonna do?

Prayer 09:50
Free my heart. Free my heart to love again. Free my heart. Free my heart to love again. It has grown hard. It has gone cold. I’m at my bitter end. Clear my mind. Clear my mind to see again. Clear my mind. Clear my mind to see again. I have gone blind Trying to find What I already have. Touch my soul So I’ll feel alive. Touch my soul And look straight into my eyes. Tell me it’s ok to cry - Not to be afraid to die Anymore. Show me the road, The last road that I’ll ever walk. Speak slow So I'll have no need to talk. I have grown weary Of only hearing My foolish thoughts. I am open now... I am open...
11.
I’ve been tryin’ to put you out Of my mind But you keep comin’ back girl Time after time. Well your lips, yea Your sweet soft lips How they’re fine so fine And I wonder when they’ll be mine... All those other girls With dyed hair painted eyes and curls They’re a dime a dozen In this world. But I look at you, only you And your precious smile like pearls. You know it makes my heart, makes my heart unfurl. So take me baby. Go on and Take me for real. I want you to take me baby. And you can know just how I feel. I want you to take me baby. Well my heart is yours to steal. So use my lips and seal the deal. So take me baby. Go on and take me for real. I want you to Take me baby. And you can know just how I feel. I want you to take me baby. Well my heart is yours to steal. So use my lips and seal the deal.
